Glazed in our specialty Elemental Wild Blue Fire glazes, this unique garlic keeper features a red dragon pagoda with a black roof in a lovely green floating garden.

This exquisite handmade garlic jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this artwork can never be matched.

Description

Glazed in our specialty Elemental Wild Blue Fire glazes, this unique garlic keeper features a red dragon pagoda with a black roof in a lovely green floating garden.  It measures approx. 3 3/4″ wide x 6 1/2″ tall from bottom to top of the finial’s ball on the lid. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even a luminary when the lid is off. Great for roasting single heads of garlic. A smaller keeper, this piece holds approx. 1 1/2 cups ~ 4-5 large cloves, or more smaller cloves.

Created from white sandy Northern California clay (some from my own farm), the base is wheel thrown. The beautifully styled lid is hand formed with a hand sculpted dragon red pagoda on a floating green garden. Everything is hand glazed in our specialty Wild Blue Fire combinations with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes.

-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
