Here in the mountains of Northern California, where the vineyards and fog meet the pines and redwoods, this large, lovingly handcrafted brown bear art bowl was created.
This exquisite piece, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this bowl can never be matched.
Description
Here in the volcanic mountains of Northern California, where the vineyards and fog meet the pines and redwoods, this lovingly handcrafted brown bear bowl was created. Measuring 9.5″ wide x inside x 5″ high. Holds approx 4 quarts.
-Created from white sandy Northern California clay, wheel thrown, then hand glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning! Please do enlarge the photos to see the beautiful flowing glazes and the three hand glazed bears ~ Each with its own character!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
