Adding Lake County Diamonds as a local feature to some of Wild Crow Farm Pottery, we are proud to introduce more information on these beautiful stones. These clear gem stones are a natural gift from our local volcano, Mt. Konocti, and are only found in Lake County California. The literature varies, but on a scale of hardness (diamonds being a 10), these seem to be rated between 7-8. Known also as Moon Tears and Konocti Diamonds, there's a local Pomo Indian legend about these stones. According to this legend, the Moon fell in love with a Pomo Indian chief.
