With tons of personality, a little red fox sits proudly on a rustic brown sugar bowl. This piece features a slotted utensil hole, an ornate lid, and works great as a honey pot.
This exquisite sugar bowl, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this art can never be matched.
Description
Glazed in a Rustic Brown with an ornately detailed lid featuring a sitting red fox knob, this charming slotted sugar bowl (that works great as a salsa server or honey pot) makes a beautiful addition to any home. Completely unique, this piece measures approx. 4″ wide x 5″ tall from bottom to top of the fox tail on the knob. This piece holds approx. 1 1/2 cups.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay (some from my own farm), the base is wheel thrown. The beautifully styled lid is hand formed with a slotted utensil opening. The little sitting red fox, full of individual personality, is hand sculpted. This piece is hand glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. HAND WASHING IS RECOMMENDED.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
