A gray squirrel sits in the center of green leaves on this stunning, one of a kind garlic keeper that features a Lake County Diamond in the squirrel’s paws.
This exquisite gem of a garlic keeper, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this piece can never be matched.

Description
Glazed in our gorgeous creamy off white, this freshly unique garlic keeper measures approx. 3 3/4″ wide x 5 3/4″ tall from bottom to top of the squirrel’s ears on the lid. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even a luminary when the lid is off. Great for roasting single heads of garlic. A smaller keeper, this piece holds approx. 1 1/4 cups ~ 1-2 large cloves, or more smaller cloves.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay (some from my own farm), the base is wheel thrown and impressed with a vine and leaf detail surrounding the base. The beautifully styled lid is hand formed with green leaf impressions surrounding a hand sculpted gray squirrel. To add interest and a touch of uniquely native sparkle, I’ve fired a raw Lake County Diamond into the squirrel’s paws. You can read more about Lake County Diamonds on our site’s blog.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
