A deeply moving piece, this crow canister in deep elemental red fire glaze has a hand formed crow knob featuring raw Lake County Diamond eyes. The Lid has a murder of crows circling the knob.
This exquisite crow jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this set can never be matched.
Description
A deeply moving piece, this crow canister in deep elemental red fire glaze measures approx. 5 1/4″ wide x 6 1/4″ tall from bottom to knob on lid. Holds a large 2 3/4 cups to the inside rim beneath the lid.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown and the lid is hand formed, then glazed with our specialty line of elemental fire glazes that are food safe, oven safe. The glazes on this piece are stunning, and the hand formed crow knob features raw Lake County Diamond eyes. The Lid has a murder of crows circling the knob.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
