Absolutely stunning, this garlic keeper with a lace lid is glazed in soft celedon blue rain with hints of purples and rose. Three hand formed trees top it all off!
This exquisite garlic jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery
Description
Absolutely stunning, this garlic keeper is glazed in soft celedon blue rain with hints of purples and rose. It measures approx. 4″ wide x 5 3/4″ tall from bottom to top of the tallest tree on the lid. Holds approx. 1 1/4 cups. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even beautiful as a luminary when the lid is off.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown, carved and engraved. The lid is hand formed, impressed with lace, then topped with three hand formed forest trees. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
