Gray Foggy Morning Honey Keeper with Bee and Flower, Sugar Bowl

Description

On a gray foggy morning in the garden, a busy bee buzzes a red flower on this honey jar with a hive decoration, all accented with flowing and feathery darker blue glazes.  This uniquely ornate jar works well as a sugar bowl, or salsa server, too!  This piece measures approx. 3 3/4″ wide x 5″ tall from bottom to the flower top on the lid. It holds approx. 1 1/2 cups to the inside rim beneath the lid.

Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown. The lid is hand formed with an ornate hive design and a hand sculpted busy bee visits a red flower. A utensil slot has been designed in the lid.  Everything is glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!

-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
