Glazed in a soft green, this unique hand crafted honey pot/sugar bowl features a sculpted blue bird sitting on her nest of eggs. The lid has a slotted utensil feature.
Exquisite, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, this treasure is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this artwork can never be matched.
Description
Glazed in our specialty “Soft Green Water”, this uniquely ornate artwork measures approx. 4 1/4″ wide x 4 3/4″ tall from bottom to the top of the blue bird’s head on the lid. Holds approx. 1 1/2 cup to the inside rim beneath the lid. There’s a utensil slot crafted in the lid.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown. The lid is hand formed with an ornate pattern and a hand sculpted blue bird sits on her nest with little eggs. Everything is glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on this piece are simply gorgeous!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
