A tiny nesting black bird sits atop this uniquely ornate sugar bowl. This piece works well as a honey pot, too!
This exquisite little treasure, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this art work can never be matched.
Description
A tiny nesting black bird sits atop this uniquely ornate sugar bowl. It measures approx. 3 3/4″ wide x 3 1/2″ tall from bottom to the top of the black bird’s head on the lid. Holds approx. 1/2 cup to the inside rim beneath the lid. This piece works well as a honey pot, too!
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown with an added base design. The lid is hand formed with an ornate pattern and a hand sculpted black bird sits on her nest. Everything is glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
