Description
Charming, simple and rustic with rich flowing glazes and with a plump gray chicken knob, this canister measures approx. 5 1/2″ wide x 6 1/4″ tall from bottom to the hen’s tail on the lid. It holds approx. 4 cups to the inside rim beneath the lid – Perfect as a small crock or cookie jar, sugar keeper, and so much more!
-Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown, and and the lid is hand formed. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning! The little hand sculpted hen is glazed in a soft gray with red highlights to top off the look.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
