This exquisite treasure, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this artwork can never be matched.

Description
A rustic red forest squirrel holds a Lake County Diamond on our specialty “Ocean Blue” glazed jar. Perfect for storing jewelry and other treasures, it measures approx. 3″ wide x 4 1/2″ tall from bottom to top of the squirrel’s head on the lid, and holds approx. 1/4 cup to the inside rim beneath the lid.
-Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown and the lid is individually hand formed with tiny pine branches showing through the glaze. The red squirrel, with his curled tail holds a Lake County diamond that has been fired directly into the piece. Hand glazed. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
