A busy bee buzzes a honey jar hive glazed in our gorgeous soft green water and accented with flowing and feathery darker glazes. This uniquely ornate jar works well as a sugar bowl, or salsa server, too! This piece measures approx. 4″ wide x 4 3/4″ tall from bottom to the top knob on the lid. It holds approx. 1 1/4 cups to the inside rim beneath the lid.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown and has a vine and leaf pattern. The lid is hand formed with an ornate hive design and a hand sculpted busy bee guards the treasure inside. A utensil slot has been designed in the lid. Everything is glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
