A soft morning mist on a forest green covers this garlic keeper. It is glazed in iridescent blue green with beautiful highlights and features a little red squirrel knob and three red squirrels surrounding the lid, separated by green pine boughs.

This exquisite forest garlic keeper, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery.

Description

A soft morning mist on a forest green covers this garlic keeper. It is glazed in iridescent blue green with beautiful highlights and features a little red squirrel knob and three red squirrels surrounding the lid, separated by green pine boughs. It measures approx. 4 1/2″ wide x 6″ tall from bottom to top of the squirrel’s ears on the lid. Holds approx. 1 3/4 cups. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even beautiful as a luminary when the lid is off.

Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown, carved and engraved with three layers of vines and leaves surrounding the base. The lid is hand formed, impressed with three squirrels, then topped with a hand sculpted red squirrel. Little deep green pine boughs separate the squirrels and layers of green leaves surround the base to top off the look.

-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.

-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
