This exquisite garlic keeper, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery.
Description
Absolutely stunning, this garlic keeper is glazed in iridescent green has multiple, beautiful highlights. It measures approx. 4 1/4″ wide x 5″ tall from bottom to top of the crow’s head on the lid. Holds approx. 1 1/2 cups. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even beautiful as a luminary when the lid is off.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown, carved and engraved. The lid is hand formed and topped with a hand sculpted black raven sitting on her nest of four little white eggs. All pieces are glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on this piece are simply gorgeous!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
