A hand sculpted black raven sitting on her nest of white eggs centered on an ornately detailed lid makes this gorgeous garlic keeper a uniquely beautiful work of art.
This exquisite handmade garlic jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery.
Description
A hand sculpted black raven tops an ornately detailed garlic keeper. The forest pine boughs and flying raven make this gorgeous garlic keeper a uniquely beautiful work of art. This piece measures approx. 4 1/2″ wide x 6 3/4″ tall from bottom to top of the raven on the lid. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even a luminary when the lid is off. Great for roasting single heads of garlic. This piece holds approx. 2 1/2 cup ~ 4-5 large cloves, or more smaller cloves.
Part of our Native Northern California Series, this artwork reflects our love of the native species, mountains, and coasts.
Created from white sandy Northern California clay (some from my own farm), the base is wheel thrown and engraved with a vine and leaf design. Everything is hand glazed in our specialty glaze combinations that are food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
