Description
Extra large, and delicately thin, this sage green bowl with brick red dots measures approx. 10 1/2″ wide inside x 5″ high. Holds over 4 quarts, or over 3600 ml.
Please don’t use this piece in the oven or microwave due to its large size, thermal shock would be hard to avoid. The bottom wide and sturdy, and the center is a bit convex . This piece still sits very flat and beautifully, but the clay itself permanently melted on the stilt during firing, forming a slight indent in the base. Please see the photos.
-Created from sandy Northern California clay, wheel thrown, then hand glazed with food safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
