This exquisite garlic jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery.
Description
This Unique garlic keeper is glazed in shade iridescent green, and features a red squirrel knob with three impressed red squirrel on the lid. It measures approx. 4 1/2″ wide x 6″ tall from bottom to top of the squirrel’s ears on the lid. Holds approx. 1 3/4 cups. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even beautiful as a luminary when the lid is off.
-Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown and the lid is individually hand formed, then hand glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning!
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
