With a white snowy winter at its best, this amazing snowflake garlic keeper has holly berries and leaves on a black sculpted knob

This exquisite garlic jar, like the other pottery available from WildCrowFarm, is not production pottery and the only one in existence due to the single firing schedule and variability of the hands of the artist and the unpredictability in high-fire pottery. Some of our pottery will be similar but this piece of art can never be matched.

Description

With a white snowy winter at its best, this amazing snowflake garlic keeper has holly berries and leaves on a black sculpted knob. Completely unique, this piece measures approx. 3 1/4″ wide x 5 1/2″ tall from bottom to top of the holly berries on the knob. It will keep your garlic nicely and can be used for other treasures, too ~ even a luminary when the lid is off. Great for roasting single heads of garlic. A smaller keeper, this piece holds approx. 1 1/4 cup ~ 1-3 large heads, or more smaller cloves.

Created from white sandy Northern California clay (some from my own farm), the base is wheel thrown and impressed with a vine and leaf detail surrounding the base. The beautifully styled lid is hand formed with a snowflake pattern.   Bright green sculpted holly leaves and red holly berries sit atop a black sculpted knob. This piece is hand glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The blue is a special formulated crystalline glaze that shows creamy tans.

-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.

-Please note that all of our stoneware pottery is hand crafted and no molds are used in the creation of our vessels, so please expect variations in hand applied glaze techniques and shapes. This ensures that your piece(s) are always one of a kind, and priceless.
