Description
This beautiful forest rain glazed canister features a little white chicken sitting on her nest of one egg. It measures approx. 5″ wide x 6 1/4″ tall from bottom to the hen’s comb on the lid. Holds approx. 3 1/2 cups to the inside rim beneath the lid.
-Created from white sandy Northern California clay, the base is wheel thrown, engraved with little hen tracks surrounding the bottom, and the lid is individually hand formed with a lace pattern. Then, all is hand glazed with food safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe glazes. The glazes on our pieces are simply stunning! The hand formed little hen in her nest with an egg tops off the look.
-Stoneware fired to over 2200 degrees for durability and ease of use and cleaning. The bottoms are unglazed and feature our maker’s mark.
